A Child Again

As I walked along a deserted path
I pretended to be a child of six
I stooped down and picked up some sticks
I crisscrossed them into a square
Then I became a child so fair
I jumped in them and then I jumped out
This made me want to scream and shout
My heart was happy once again
As I remembered my best friend
How we played and laughed without a care
Once again I was there
