Mountain Road

As I drove on the mountain road today

I discovered with amazing dismay

    That the snow on top was about to drop

    On the top of my car along the way

It was quite beautiful as it started to melt

And the tops of the trees did sway

    Why had I never noticed this before

    For I had come this way every day

I think with some dismay

I actually saw the beauty of the world in wild array
